Hello Again!

"Ones To Watch" -The Mail on Sunday, January 4, 2014

Greetings all!  Welcome to my new site. Here's the new news...

I'm working on a new album with my long time co-writer, producer, friend Pete Glenister based in London.  We started in the winter of 2012 writing via skype out of my studio at home, hotels rooms as far as Australia and as near as Nashville while I toured with Seal and finally together at his studio in Parson's Green, London.  We are nearing the final stages of writing the new album called, "I Dare You To Love Me".  I'm happy to report that Pete is coming to Los Angeles mid-January to write a few more songs. While he's here, we are going to do a couple of mini sets around town. On January 26th, we'll do a few songs at Uncabaret and on January 28th, a 20 minute set at Genghis Cohen as part of Angelo Bundini's residency, "Leaving Your Cave May Save You." See shows section for deets on those.

"Hello Again", a song I wrote with my pal, the great film composer Mark Isham, recently became the theme song for TNT's new show "Mob City" created by Frank Darabond (Walking Dead). The horn arrangement was done by David Campbell whose gorgeous work can be heard on many of your favorite recordings starting back with Marvin Gaye and reaching into your music collection today.

My band The Goods (with Lucy Woodward, Michelle Lewis) is at work writing a new set of songs. Look out for LA shows coming up in the next few months.

And finally, I got the lovely mention you see above in the Mail on Sunday last week. The writer Tim de Lisle reviewed my first album in 1996 which came out on Reprise Records.  Thank you for your support over the years Tim!  Much appreciated.

That's all for now..xxhp
